Donation Terms & Compliance

By making a donation to Project Golden Age, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms. These terms are in addition to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

1. Voluntary Contributions

All donations are entirely voluntary. You are under no obligation to donate, and donating is not required to access, install, or use any Project Golden Age product. gulaq is currently free, and donations do not unlock, purchase, or guarantee any feature, product, or level of service.

2. Donations Are Non-Refundable

If you believe a donation was made in error or as a result of unauthorized use of your payment method, please contact us and contact Patreon’s support promptly so the matter can be reviewed.

3. No Goods or Services Provided

A donation is a gift of support. It does not constitute a purchase, subscription, pre-order, investment, or contract, and it does not entitle you to any tangible or digital product, deliverable, feature, equity, or ownership interest. Any recognition or membership perks offered through Patreon are provided at our sole discretion and may be added, changed, or removed at any time.

4. Payment Processing

Donations are collected and processed by Patreon, a third-party platform, subject to Patreon’s own Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. When you donate, you are redirected to Patreon to complete the transaction. Project Golden Age does not receive, process, or store your full payment card details. Your use of Patreon is governed by Patreon’s agreements, and we are not responsible for Patreon’s services, availability, or handling of your data.

5. Not Tax-Deductible

Project Golden Age is not a registered tax-exempt charitable organization. Donations are not tax-deductible unless expressly stated otherwise in writing. You are responsible for any tax implications of your contribution. If in doubt, consult a qualified tax advisor.

6. Eligibility

To donate, you must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and the authorized holder of, or have permission to use, the payment method. Do not donate using funds or payment methods you are not authorized to use. By donating, you confirm that your contribution complies with all laws applicable to you.

7. How Funds Are Used

Contributions support the ongoing development of Project Golden Age and gulaq, including engineering time, infrastructure and hosting, design, security, and keeping our core tools free and accessible. We do not guarantee any specific outcome, roadmap item, or timeline as a result of donations.

8. Chargebacks & Disputes

If you have a concern about a donation, please contact us first so we can help. Billing disputes, chargebacks, and payment issues are handled through Patreon and your payment provider in accordance with their policies.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these donation terms, the available support options, amounts, and links at any time. Material changes are reflected by an updated effective date. Donations are governed by the terms in effect at the time the donation is made.
